Edward Willett is the award-winning author of more than sixty books in English, encompassing fiction and nonfiction for readers of all ages. He began his career as a newspaper reporter and editor before spending five years as the communications officer for the Saskatchewan Science Centre, a major tourist attraction in his home city of Regina, Saskatchewan. As a full-time freelance writer for the past three decades, he's written for numerous tourist attractions, historical sites, and displays, including the illustrated history of Regina's Government House.

For several years, he edited the magazine Fine Lifestyles Regina, for which he and his wife wrote a column about wine.

Ed has won numerous awards, including the Aurora Award, Canada’s top award for science fiction, for his novel Marseguro (DAW Books), and the City of Regina Heritage Award for Historic Walks of Regina and Moose Jaw. In 2018, he founded Shadowpaw Press, which publishes new work by emerging and established authors, as well as new editions of notable, previously published work.

Additionally, he has substantial experience working with academic journal publishers in various capacities, including writing articles for peer-reviewed journals, serving on editorial boards, and editing and proofreading articles in many subjects.

Wayne is a creative writer as well, having published four books: a memoir about personal minimalism (Less and Less), a mystery novel (The Killing Type), and a biography (My Sam Johnson), and also co-written another biography (Greg Giraldo: A Comedian's Story).
